Twelve-hour shifts, then law school

Marva spent years as a hospital nurse. She saw how quickly a complaint about staffing or a coworker could cost someone their schedule, and she went to law school at night to do something about it.

She leads the Fort Worth office and handles harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination. Her clients are often nurses, aides, drivers and line cooks, people whose schedule is the first thing taken away.

She meets clients before and after their shifts when she can, and keeps a pot of coffee on for the early appointments.
